Privacy Policy
Your child's data never leaves your phone.
This isn't a lengthy legal document designed to obscure what we do with your data. The honest summary: we don't collect it, we can't access it, and we never will.
Last updated: April 10, 2026
The short version
All data stays on your device
Your child's measurements, growth history, and profiles are stored in your iPhone's private document directory. They never leave your device.
No servers, no cloud
GrowthKit has no backend server. There is no GrowthKit account, no sync service, and no database that holds your data. We literally cannot access it.
No ads, no data selling
GrowthKit's business model is the app itself. Your family's health data is not a product. It will never be sold, shared, or used for advertising.
No account required
Open the app and start tracking. No sign-up, no email address, no password. We don't know who you are, and that's by design.
Full privacy policy
1. Data you enter in the app
When you add a child profile and log measurements in GrowthKit, all of that information — names, dates of birth, height, weight, head circumference measurements — is stored locally in your iPhone's private document directory using Apple's standard file storage APIs. This data is protected by your device's encryption and passcode. It is never transmitted to any external server, including ours. GrowthKit does not have a backend, a database, or any infrastructure capable of receiving or storing your data.
iCloud backup:If you have iCloud backups enabled for your device, GrowthKit data may be included in your device backup in line with Apple's standard backup policies. This is controlled entirely by your iCloud settings, not by GrowthKit.
2. This website (growthkit.app)
The GrowthKit website uses Google Analytics 4 to collect anonymised, aggregated usage data — page views, traffic sources, and general usage patterns. This data helps us understand which tools parents find useful. Google Analytics data is anonymised and does not include personally identifiable information. IP addresses are anonymised.
The free tools on this website (calculators, charts, checkers) run entirely in your browser. No data you enter into these tools — no measurements, ages, or inputs — is sent to our servers or stored anywhere.
3. Cookies
This website uses only the cookies necessary to operate Google Analytics (anonymised analytics). We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or any third-party marketing cookies. We do not serve ads on this website.
4. App Store & crash reporting
GrowthKit is distributed through Apple's App Store. Apple collects standard app analytics (installs, crashes, performance data) through Apple's own platform analytics, subject to Apple's privacy policy. If you opt into "Share Analytics" in your iPhone settings, Apple may share anonymised crash data with us to help diagnose and fix bugs. GrowthKit does not integrate any third-party crash reporting or analytics SDKs.
5. Children's privacy
GrowthKit is designed for use by parents to track their own children. Because we collect no personal data from either parents or children, and because all data remains on the parent's device, GrowthKit fully complies with COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act) and similar regulations.
6. GDPR (EU/UK users)
Because GrowthKit does not collect personal data, the full weight of GDPR data subject rights (access, erasure, portability) is satisfied by the fact that you control your data entirely — it lives on your iPhone. To delete all your data, delete the app. There is nothing server-side to request deletion of.
The website analytics collected by Google Analytics are processed under a Data Processing Agreement with Google. Analytics data is anonymised and does not constitute personal data under GDPR.
7. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes materially — for example, if analytics tools are changed — we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Substantive changes affecting user privacy will be communicated via an app update notice.
