What does GrowthKit do?

GrowthKit is an iPhone app for tracking a child's growth. You log height, weight and head circumference, and the app plots each measurement on the WHO growth charts, shows the percentile, tracks growth velocity, and exports a PDF report you can share with your pediatrician.

Which growth charts does GrowthKit use?

Weight, length or height, and head circumference are plotted on WHO growth charts: weight up to age 10, height up to age 19, and head circumference up to age 5. BMI-for-age, from age 2, uses the CDC reference. Percentiles are calculated with the LMS method published with both datasets.

Is GrowthKit free?

GrowthKit is free to download, and new users get a free trial with every feature unlocked. After the trial, a subscription is required for full access. The App Store shows the current options before you subscribe.

Where is my child's data stored?

On your iPhone. There is no GrowthKit account. You can turn on iCloud sync to keep a private copy in your own Apple Account; it is off by default, and your family's records are never sent to GrowthKit's servers.

Can I track more than one child?

Yes. Each child gets a profile with a photo, birth date and full measurement history, and you can switch between them with one tap. You can add adult profiles too.

Can I share the data with my pediatrician?

Yes. Export a PDF report from any profile. It includes the latest measurements, overall growth, growth velocity charts, WHO percentile charts and the full measurement history. Share it by email, AirDrop or Messages, or print it.

Can I use pounds and inches?

Yes. Choose imperial (feet, inches and pounds) or metric (centimeters and kilograms) in Settings. Every chart and report follows your choice.

Does GrowthKit work offline?

Yes. Charts, percentiles and PDF reports are calculated on your iPhone, so you don't need a connection to log or review measurements.

Does GrowthKit track feeding, sleep or milestones?

No. GrowthKit focuses on physical growth: height, weight, head circumference and BMI. Our free online tools and guides cover feeding, sleep and developmental milestones.

Does GrowthKit replace my pediatrician?

No. GrowthKit helps you keep an accurate record and understand the charts, but it is not a medical device and does not give medical advice. The trend over time matters more than any single percentile, so talk to your pediatrician about any concern.
